In addition, Jennings (1996) argues that when many people are in a household, it makes it backbreaking to turn in everyone especially for old people and children who cannot run from the fire. Crowded homes are a suggestion that the members are poor, thus their houses possibly lack smoke detectors. In case a fire occurs the occupants will have limited time to escape and thus makes them unable to reach neighboring households and alert or rescue them. It is imperative that safety measures be taken to address the fire issue in crowded areas so as to save lives in case of fire
